Miriam is an RCA – “PK” and graduated from Hope College and Western Theological Seminary. She co-pastored Covenant Community Church, RCA in Muskegon, MI for 25 years with her husband, Mark Bush. In 2009, feeling a sense of call toward a contemplative ministry in a broader arena, she began creating retreat and spiritual formation opportunities through a new venture: The Center for Action, Contemplation and Transformation (C-SAT). She is also the Spiritual Director for LifeCircles, a non-profit PACE organization enabling lower economic, frail elderly to remain in their homes. In 2013 she became a Benedictine Oblate. Mimi’s ministry arenas have been in areas at the margins where individuals find exclusion; Room for All allows her an avenue to do specific RCA justice work with LGBTQ brothers and sisters excluded within our own faith community. In addition to her husband, Mimi’s family includes three young adult children.
