Rob is captive to two of Jesus’ parables: “The Prodigal Son” and “The Good Samaritan.” Between the two, Jesus portrays the unconditional love of God with arms always stretched open in loving welcome, along with his call that we be agents of God’s compassion and justice, ensuring a place for all at Christ’s table. Rob has been the pastor of the United Church of Spring Valley, NY since 2006. Before that, he served for 21 years at Marble Collegiate Church. He is married to Nora Heflin Williams, a psychiatrist in private practice. They have had three sons, and a granddaughter.
