Deb is a graduate of Northwestern College where she was also employed as an Admissions Counselor/Assistant Director of Admissions. While in Orange City, she was a member of First Reformed Church. She later earned a Master’s Degree and worked in AIDS Support Services at the Whitman-Walker Clinic in Washington, DC and the Iowa Center for AIDS Resources and Education in Iowa City. In 1993 she was hired at the University of Iowa where she currently serves as the Assistant Director for Institutional Data in the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost. Deb lives with her dog, Jada, and is passionate about music and the outdoors. She loves to hike, kayak, paddle-board, bike and dine on patios accompanied by Jada’s other mother, Sharon.
